Ing. Marek Pokorný, Ph.D.

Marek Pokorný graduated from the Faculty of Civil Engineering at the Czech Technical University in Prague in 2005. Since 2007 he has worked there as an assistant professor at the Department of Building Structures with a focus on fire safety of buildings and fire engineering. In 2012, he received a doctorate at the same department; the topic of his thesis was Installation Shafts from the Fire Point of View. Since 2013, he has been working as a researcher at the fire laboratory at CTU UCEEB, where he devotes himself to fire laboratory management, preparation and management of research projects and contract research.
