doc. Ing. Karel Hána, Ph.D.

Karel Hána is an associate professor of Biomedical Engineering at the Czech Technical University in Prague (2017). In 1994-99 he worked in the commercial sphere, since 1999 he has been employed at FBME (formerly CBME and UBME) at the Department of Information and Communication Technologies in Medicine (formerly Joint Institute of Biomedical Engineering FBMI CTU and 1st Faculty of Medicine) and since 2013 also at UCEEB CTU. Its aim is to improve people's everyday life with modern technologies. He focuses mainly on the use of medical electronics and informatics in assistive technologies and telemedicine. He is the author and co-author of a number of patents and a number of grant-supported research projects.
